Metal rule mounted in a wooden base with a rubber top. Die is laid in the bed of the puzzle machine and the puzzle to be cut is laid on top. A piece of lexan or something else firm is laid on top of that. As the press rolls over the die the puzzle is pushed down onto the knife, thus cutting it. The rubber then pushes the puzzle up off the knife as the press rolls off.
